Here We Go Again

Apparently, BBC Radio 4 recently declared that men write alternate history, not women. Where does this stuff come from? Fortunately, Shannon Selin wrote a blog post to set the record straight. Head on over for some good reading. (And full disclosure, she listed one of my novels, which is how I found her.) She’s asking for suggestions for other alternate history books by women in the comments. Please oblige her.

You can find the post here.

The Future Chronicles group, which puts out short story anthologies, includes two volumes of Alternate History stories, each with a number of women writers.

Thank you. I wasn’t even familiar with this group. I’ll have to check it out.

Oh please do. Samuel Peralta who started the imprint is doing wonderful work providing opportunities for independent science fiction and fantasy authors and the anthologies are selling well and getting new readers for these authors.

Stories are curated, professionally edited, and authors get paid with a 3 month exclusive contract, then can republish story on their own. Here is the link to the FB page which is the main place things happen. https://www.facebook.com/groups/futurechronicles/

Would love to see you pop up there.
